Hi! I'm a 34 year old mother of two and wife who has just about had enough of her apple body and pooch.
I had giant pregnancies. The kind where you look at people who look like they just shoved a basketball in their shirts and you sort of want to hit them. HARD. Both of my pregnancies shredded my abs and I'm ready to get them back.
About a year ago I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Which means I have to take a supplement AND I lose weight very very slowly. How slowly? Well from September to February I trained for a half-marathon AND did weight watchers at the same time and only lost 6, count them SIX, lbs. (Ps I successfully completed that half marathon at the end of February!)
So I'm healthy, but my body still is a big hot mess.
I decided it was time to do something for myself. So I, along with my husband, made the choice to go for a tummy tuck (abdomnioplasty) and a breast lift (Wise mastopexy) to "put things where they should be". I'm not doing this for anybody else, I'm doing it for me.
I figure that I'm successful at most every other part of my life but this one. And if there are things that can help, well why not let them.
I decided to blog through the process because while I was researching I didn't find that many personal experiences. I am an avid blogger and I feel like this will be an excellent outlet for me and hopefully a good tool for you as well!
Thanks for reading and feel free to ask if you have any questions at all!
